The Meaning of Doppio Zero
In Italy, “Doppio Zero” is more than just flour. It’s the finest “00” — soft, pure, and essential to creating true pizza and pasta. It’s where everything begins.
For us, Doppio Zero is a symbol of authenticity. A promise to stay true to the roots of Italian cooking, where simplicity, quality ingredients, and time‑honoured techniques come together to create something unforgettable.
Angelo’s Vision
When Angelo Simeone arrived in Dublin, he couldn’t find the taste of home. “I tried many places,” he says, “but something was always missing—not just the food, the feeling.” So in 2013, he opened Doppio Zero on Abbey Street, bringing a simple idea with him: honest food, proper coffee, and a warm welcome for everyone who walks through the door.
Inspired by the spirit of Italian trattorias, it’s a place to slow down, connect, and enjoy life—the Italian way.
More Than a Meal
At Doppio Zero, every dish tells a story. From San Marzano tomatoes to Pecorino Romano, we carefully select ingredients that honour their origin and tradition. Our recipes are rooted in Italy, but shared here, in the heart of Dublin.
And just like in Italy, coffee is part of our identity. As the exclusive home of Mokambo in Ireland, we celebrate true Italian espresso culture—crafted with care, served with pride.
Made in Italy, Shared in Dublin
With locations on Abbey Street and Pembroke Street, Doppio Zero is a little corner of Italy in the city.
Because for us, “Made in Italy” is not just about where things come from—it’s about how they’re made, how they’re served, and how they make you feel.
Come in, take a seat, and stay a while. 😉
